New Research Findings on Matcha Green Tea?
In this post, we are trying to address new research findings of Matcha and
Green Tea and some of them may have some interesting information for you
1,-Green tea, and its supplements may have good hopes for children's who have
Down syndrome
This new study was carried out by Belgian and Spanish scientists and published in
Scientific Reports, on march,1921, and claims that intake of green tea extracts
can reduce facial dysmorphology in the children's suffering from Down syndrome,(1)
Down Syndrome, is a genetic disorder causing developmental and intellectual delays
it causes a distinct facial appearance, after treating with green tea extracts, children
with Down Syndrome shows a 50% difference compared to the control group
2,-Green tea and Black tea both for antihypertensive properties
This new study from the University of California confirmed that both
teas, relax blood vessels by activating ion channel proteins in the
blood vessel wall, and due to this they can lower blood pressure,
this research study is published in March 2021, in Cellular Physiology
and Biochemistry,(2)
Results from the research revealed that two catechin-type
flavonoid compounds, epicatechin gallate and epigallocatechin-3-gallate
found in tea, each of them activates a very specific type of ion channel protein
KCNQ5, which activate the exit of potassium ions from cells, and by
which relaxes blood vessels
3,-Green tea extracts with exercise can reduce fatty liver
This combination of green tea extracts and exercise can reduce the severity
of obesity-related fatty liver disease by 75%, in mice fed with a high-fat diet
this research study is from Penn State University and published in February 2020
in The Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry,(3),
The author of this research says polyphenols present in green tea interact with the
digestive enzymes in the small intestine and partially inhibit the breakdown of
carbohydrates, fats, and proteins present in the food, and by doing so along with
exercises it reduces the fat deposited on the liver, the group has demonstrated that
green tea extracts along with exercise sharply reduce body mass, improve
cardiovascular health and also reduce fatty liver
4,-Matcha tea can reduce anxiety
Japanese Researchers from Kumamoto University carried out this research using
the elevated plus-maze test with mice, and confirms that it reduces anxiety, the
research details are published in July 2019, in Journal of Functional Foods,(4)
Matcha tea extracts reduce anxiety by activating dopamine D1 and serotonin
5-HT-1A receptors, it is also revealed that poorly water-soluble components of
matcha has stronger anxiolytic effects than water-soluble components, this
the particular research study was carried out by matcha tea extracts in 80%
ethanol on mouse
5,-Drinking Green tea and coffee can lower death risk in people with diabetics
This very interesting research findings, states that drinking 4-or more cup
green tea per day can reduce 63% of all causes of mortality, in the cases of
diabetics, this is Japanese work, published October 2020, in BMJ Open
Diabetes Research&Care,(5)
People with type-2 diabetics are more prone to, circulatory diseases, dementia,
cancers, and bone fractures, and even despite an increasing number of effective
drugs, lifestyle modifications, such as exercise and diet, remain a cornerstone
of treatments, here in this study total of 4923 Japanese cases are studied,
2790-men,2133-women with type-2 diabetes, average age 66, for 5-years,
a lot of details were studied
Some 607 participants did not drink green tea,1143-drank one cup of green
tea per day,1387-drank 2-3 cups per day,1784- drank 4- cups per day green tea
1-cup green tea, 15% lower odds of death
2-3, cups green tea ,27% lower odds of death
4-cups, green tea,40% lower odds of death
This study presents a very powerful strong case in the favor of green tea
6,-Tea drinkers live longer
A study published, in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, on
January 2020, explains that tea drinkers can have longer and healthier
life, than non-tea drinkers,(6)
This is a mega Chinese study referred to by the name China-PAR Project-2
and carried out by Dr. Xinyan Wang, on a total of 1000,902- participants,
divided in two groups, one habitual tea drinker, and non-habitual tea
drinkers and they are followed for 7.3-years, and results are very
surprising
Habitual tea drinkers get
-39% total risk of incident heart disease and stroke
-56% lower risk of fatal heart disease and stroke
-29% decreased risk of all-cause deaths
7, -A newly discovered, naturally low-caffeine Tea Plant
Chinese Scientists have discovered a wild tea plant, which contains
almost every little, or no caffeine, like other decaffeinated products
which are produced in the industry this natural plant can be going to
offer very great health benefits, this discovery was made publish
In November 2018, in American Chemical Society,(7)
This is a rare wild tea plant, discovered in the mountains of southern china
and locals residents believe that it can cure a cold, soothe stomach pain and
provide relief in lot other ailments, but very fewer details we know about
its contents, chemistry, etc, maybe we will get more information in coming
years
8,-Green tea cuts Obesity
A new study indicates that green tea cut obesity and also reduces
inflammation and other biomarker linked with poor health and
it provides potential benefits to the people at high risk of diabetes
and heart problems, this study is done at Ohio State University
and published in March 2019, in the journal, Journal of Nutritional
Biochemistry,(8)
In this study mice fed with a high-fat diet, supplemented with green tea
gained about 20% less weight along with lower insulin resistance then
mice fed with the same diet but without green tea extracts
9,-Drinking tea improves Brain Health
A recent study by the researchers of the National University of Singapore
revealed that regular tea drinkers have better-organized brain regions,
means healthy cognitive function, compared to non-tea drinkers, the
results of this study were published in September 2019, in the journal,
Aging,(9)
The research team found that individuals who consumed green tea, oolong tea,
or black tea at least 4-times in a weak for about 25-years had brain regions
that ware interconnected in a more efficient way than in comparison to those
who don't drink any tea, so the tea drinkers have better cognitive functions
10, -A Review Article, Health Benefits and Chemical Composition of
Matcha Green Tea published in Molecule, in December 2020
The aim of this review was to compile the health benefits of Matcha tea
and to cover all main bioactive compounds which occur in matcha in a
systematic manner, five authors team has done a remarkable job in presenting
all the facts about matcha are on the same page, its very interesting review and
it must be seen for someone who is interested in matcha
This can provide a lot of help to researchers, who wants to carry out
some research studies in this area,(10)
